coyote pitstop mini bar

basswood, poplar, painted glass, milk paint

H35" x W30" x D15"

By building a bar and placing it visibly in the house, I express my gratitude to the hard familial lessons. I am taking alcohol out of hiding and putting it into the light as it is a medicine first of all, and should be respected as such.

The cacti are inspired by vast deserts of Baja California. Paired with the mini bar concept, it is a playful way to pay acknowledgment to Huehuecoyotl, the Aztec god of song, music, dance and mischief.
